How to test the store before publishing

Eight test requests that show whether the AI seller is ready for real customers.

Before you put the bot link into an ad, message it yourself — as a normal shopper, not as the owner who knows the right wording.

  1. The exact product name. The answer should contain price and availability.
  2. A misspelled name — “airpods pro”, “iphone 15pro”.
  3. A request by need, not by product: “I need a gift for my mother”, “something for coloured laundry”.
  4. A product you do not carry. A good answer is not “no” but an alternative.

Test the money

  1. Ask for a discount. The AI should either offer a price within the allowed range or decline politely — but never go below your floor.
  2. Ask about delivery and payment. The answer must match what you actually offer.

Test the boundaries

  1. Send a voice message. A request in Uzbek or Russian should be transcribed and handled like ordinary text.
  2. Ask a complex question from your “humans only” list. The conversation should land in the employee queue instead of getting an improvised answer.

If any step disappoints you, the cause is usually the data: an incomplete product description, a missing stock figure or an unset pricing rule. Fix the source and repeat the test.
