Controlled bargaining in a chat
What a concession looks like from the customer's side, and what happens when they ask for more than is allowed.
Haggling in chat is normal on the Uzbek market. The AI’s job is not to dodge that conversation but to run it by your rules.
The usual scenario
The customer asks whether it can be cheaper. The AI checks the rules and offers a price within the permitted range — with a clear condition if you have one: self-pickup, card payment, buying a bundle.
The wording is always concrete: the new price and what it takes to get it. A vague “let me check and come back” does not work — that is the exact moment customers leave.
When they ask for more than allowed
The AI does not agree and does not start bargaining against your rules. Instead it holds the permitted price or offers an alternative: a cheaper similar item, a bundle with better value, different payment terms. The floor price is never named.
When bargaining belongs to a human
Bulk orders, unusual payment terms, individual conditions for a loyal customer — these decisions usually rest on agreements made outside the system. Such conversations are best handed to an employee, who receives the chat with its context and continues from the same point.
How to test it
Ask for a discount three ways: reasonable, outrageous, and conditional (“I’ll pick it up today”). The first answer should be an offer, the second a refusal without friction, the third an offer with a condition. If the behaviour differs, check the pricing rules.
