Connecting Shopify
How to connect a Shopify store to EzguSavdo in one click, what gets imported, and what to check if the catalog looks wrong.
If your products live in Shopify, you do not need to upload a catalog file. The EzguSavdo Connector app reads the catalog straight from your store and keeps it current: prices, stock and images follow the changes you make in Shopify.
The transfer is one-way. EzguSavdo never writes anything back into Shopify — it creates no products, changes no prices and touches no orders.
What you need
- A Shopify store you can administer.
- An EzguSavdo account. The free plan is enough to start.
Connecting
- Install EzguSavdo Connector from the Shopify App Store.
- In the Shopify admin open Apps → EzguSavdo Connector. The page already shows your store domain — there is nothing to type.
- Press Connect to EzguSavdo. A sign-in page opens.
- Sign in, or create an account if you do not have one yet.
- Check the two stores on the confirmation screen and press Confirm connection. You are taken back to Shopify.
Nothing is imported yet at this point, and that is deliberate: connecting must not overwrite a catalog you have not agreed to hand over.
Turning the import on
The app now shows two steps.
Test connection reads your store and reports what it found: the permissions Shopify granted, how many locations exist, how many products it can see. If a permission is missing, you will see which one — the catalog would otherwise import incomplete and the reason would be hard to guess later.
Enable catalogue import starts the synchronisation. The first run is a full one and may take a few minutes on a large catalog. After that the app updates changes as they happen and runs a full check once a day.
What gets imported
- Products, variants and options
- Prices, including compare-at prices
- Product images
- Collections
- Stock across your locations
Each Shopify variant becomes a separate item in the EzguSavdo catalog, named by its title plus the option values that are not already in the title. So “T-shirt” with sizes S, M and L arrives as three items the assistant can offer and reserve separately.
Draft and archived products are skipped by default, as are Shopify gift cards — a gift card is a means of payment, not merchandise. You can change this in Settings → Integrations → Shopify.
Stock and locations
Stock for an item is the sum of the quantities across the locations you selected. If you selected none, all locations count, which is what a single-warehouse store expects without touching anything.
A variant that does not track inventory in Shopify has no number to import. Such variants get a nominal quantity, 100 by default, so they do not disappear from the catalog as if they were sold out.
Prices and currency
By default prices arrive exactly as Shopify quotes them and are labelled with your store’s currency. If you sell in dollars but want the catalog in soʻm, set the conversion rate in the integration settings; you can also add a markup and a bargaining margin there.
The rate is yours to set and yours to keep current. EzguSavdo does not fetch exchange rates.
The catalog is a mirror
Titles, prices and stock edited by hand in EzguSavdo are overwritten by the next synchronisation. Make such changes in Shopify, and let them arrive here.
If something looks wrong
A product is missing. Check its status in Shopify: draft and archived products are skipped unless you allow them. Check that its variant has a price.
A price is stale. Shopify does not guarantee delivery of every change notification. Press Sync catalogue in the app, or wait for the daily full check, which is exactly what exists to catch this.
The stock is wrong. Check which locations are selected in the settings. A number that looks too low usually means one warehouse is excluded.
“Shopify did not grant” and a list of permissions. The store revoked a permission the connector needs. Open the app in Shopify and reinstall it to grant them again.
Disconnecting
Press Disconnect on the app page, or remove the app in Shopify. Synchronisation stops and the access token is deleted at once.
Products already imported stay in your EzguSavdo catalog — you keep selling them, and removing an app must not empty your storefront. Delete them in Products if you no longer need them.
